This is the last in my superhero series - for the time being, at least. I know everyone's been enjoying them but if I'm honest, I'm getting bored writing them, and you have to love what you write. Don't worry though, I'm sure I'll go back to the saga at some point. In the meantime, I give you...

I note CA took the bait. Expect a postcard from Vegas soon.

CA touched base yesterday with Miranda Sparkles. Has announced intention to switch his crime-fighting efforts to Monaco. News breaks tomorrow. Suggest WIN?

Good morning Barry,
We have received a communication that Captain Astounding is safe and well, but has decided that the Mediterranean community of Monaco could better use his expertise than our fair city. In the wake of his absence, please consider my Armed Response Division as being entirely at your disposal, should the need arise.
Ever your servant,
Icy

Subject: CA's disappearance
Had an email from Von Doom. Has offered us her armed response people now CA has gone. Suggest we take her up on her offer - better to have her on side.

Stupid fools took the bait. Espionage team to be briefed and re-fitted as Armed Response Division asap.
Also, grant bonuses to PR team. Genius.

Hehe, awesome.
Brilliant series. I love it! :)
Ha, I guessed right, but that doesn't make this one any less enjoyable!
I think it was Steinbeck who said, "when you protect something, after a while you own it."

They were fun reads.
Terrific ending, Icy.
Cripes, of course quit writing them if you're bored. I just figured the shorter form for most of them made them easier and that you were experimenting for future prose projects. It was a funny way to close, though!
I think CA's move to Monaco is a great idea, all that sun 'n' stuff, but not as brilliant an idea of IVD offering her services to protect the city. Sneaky.
Brilliant! More bad guys need to be so brilliant.
This will be fun whenever you get back to this series. I loved how each time is was so different!
Cathy - I do try.
Gemz - I think I went a bit mental.
FAR - Captain Astounding clearly puts a price on what he does.
Tim - Glad you enjoyed them.
Tony - Gotta go out on a high.
John - Oh it's definitely been a fun way to experiment. Who knows, maybe I'll do more of these in future.
Steve - Oh she's cunning, alright.
Raven - Maybe more bad guys need to be girls!
Boredom is a sign you should probably stop doing them. They are so fun to read though. And I gotta say that mayor is pretty silly to accept the offer from Icy Von Doom.
Go Professor Icy Von Doom.
Been a great brief series. So much fun. Liked the short style of the emails passing backwards and forwards.

I have enjoyed the different forms and styles you employed in the series. It made a nice change. I'm sure you will revisit these characters one day Icy.
Tee-hee Von Doom is in! Fun read Icy!
I get what you mean, I think it shows in a person's writing when they're not fully enjoying what they are doing.
Not that it shows in this piece. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
And excellent PR team, I think us Fridayflashers need to hire them to promote our stuff.
Sonia - They've been good for experimentation though.
Adam - Heh you should see the length of some emails I send!
Justin - Oh no doubt. Just want to go back to regular fiction for a while.
Helen - You knew it would happen!
Craig - Well the PR team will be at a loose end now...
Funny! Loved the way it's set up to be emails back and forth.
